"At the slope of a mountain, bordering a village, there was a great forest. A woman lived by the forest with her five-year-old son. The house was small with a half-acre of land right next to the forest's entrance.

The Woman's son had grown frail and sickly, gradually becoming worse. As he grew weaker by the day, so did her desperation to save him, but there was no money to pay for a healer nor medicine. People in the village had told her of someone who might be able to help, though she'd have to go all the way inside the forest. Someone of immense power, never seen, only heard of - the Witch.

Determined to save her son, the Woman left at dawn to the Northern Forest in search of this Witch, leaving him with neighbours in the village.

Spring had just begun."
